For the Home
Blankets
Looks like home to me.
Somewhere along the way, a space starts looking less like a place that was set up and more like a place where someone actually lives. The good stuff gets left within reach, favorite things stay out because they’re worth seeing, and practicality gets mixed in with whatever makes the room more enjoyable. Perfectly coordinated has never been a requirement.
A surprising amount of life happens at home on completely ordinary days. Slow mornings turn into afternoons on the couch, people come over, projects take over the table, and a quick stop in the kitchen somehow becomes standing there talking for half an hour. The things around us get pulled into all of it, used and moved and lived with rather than waiting around to look nice.
There’s plenty of room at home for things chosen simply because they’re useful, interesting, comfortable, or fun to have around. Sometimes they’re doing a job; sometimes they’re making an otherwise overlooked corner a little less boring. Either way, everyday surroundings are allowed to have some personality.
